Stream of Consciousness Saturday – bash

Stream of Consciousness Saturday – bash

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS March 9/19

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “abash/a bash/bash.” Use “abash,” or “bash” as a noun or a verb. Bonus points if you manage all three. Have fun!

Linda has given us the starting prompt of these … abash/a bash/ bash. Thanks, Linda.  If you want to have a bash, and read a lot of fun posts, just click the above link.

I don’t know what abash means, and I don’t want to look it up. So, I’m left with a bash and bash.

A bash sounds like a huge unruly party or something. I cringe at the thought. I don’t do parties, and really never have. I’ve been to a few way back when, but probably didn’t enjoy myself. I don’t like crowds of people. It gets too noisy, and makes my head spin and my ears go funny with the dull roar. Same happens in a crowded restaurant. Really, all those people talking at once? What on earth do people have to talk about on and on? Ugh!

Bash also sounds like you are hitting something really hard. I don’t go around bashing things.

Maybe I’m pretty dull…no bashing parties, no bashing things, no fun?

Is there a cartoon called Bash Riprock? I don’t know, but we have (or had) a restaurant/bar called Bash Riprock’s here. I never went, of course.

Oooh wait, how about bashful? Wasn’t there a cartoon dwarf named Bashful? Was that Cinderella, or Snow White that had those little guys?

Well, to use the word bash as in hitting something, I’ll bash the publish button on here instead of hitting it. Okay?

I’m done here, and not bashful to say it.

Have a super Saturday, y’all! 🙂

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

  1. I’m watching the Hobbit. There are dwarves but none is called Bashful 😁 but I am fully with you on the party and restaurant side. The older I get the less I can bear crowded places. We live in the middle of nowhere and don’t mingle with people so I am not abashed to say: we are totally boring 😁🙋‍♀️🐝

  2. There was a Dash Riprock in a 70s TV show on the Beverly HIllbillies. He was a playboy caricature. Crazy the things I remember. I liked big parties in my 20s. Now my idea of a good party would singing around a campfire with a few good friends or family.
