Love Is In Da Blog – Heartbreak – Day 22
***
For today’s challenge, we have Bee asking for heartbreak songs. Thanks, Bee!
There are so many songs dealing with heartbreak, it’s hard to choose just one, so I chose two from this band because I like all their songs. They may not be what you’re expecting from a sad song subject, but hope you enjoy listening, even a little bit, and the lyrics are good, too. 🙂
The first one is pretty wild and loud, and so I give you a second one, which is a bit milder. Both deal with heartbreak and the loss of love from another.

Hey, yeah!
Huh!
Well, she’s a pretty girl
And I don’t ask for more
You know that touch of hers
Makes my heart beat like it never did before
I didn’t know that anything could be this good
She makes me do things I don’t really think I should
Like I don’t even care as long as she’s there
She makes me go much further than I normally would
Can’t you see what you’re doin’ to me
Can’t you see that you’re makin’ me bleed
Heartbreak Boulevard
Take you for a ride, mess you up inside
Heartbreak Boulevard
Comin’ on so slow, never let you go
Heartbreak Boulevard
On the wild side, love’s like suicide
Down on Heartbreak Strip
It never stays that sweet
But still you want some more
No return, no retreat
Just as hooked on the stuff as you were before
I shoulda known that losin’ you would hurt this deep
I shoulda known that happiness is not for keeps
Like I don’t even know which way to go
Leave me alone, let me die in my sleep
Can’t you see what you’re doin’ to me
Can’t you see that you’re makin’ me bleed
Heartbreak Boulevard
Take you for a ride, mess you up inside
Heartbreak Boulevard
Comin’ on so slow, never let you go
Heartbreak Boulevard
On the wild side, love’s like suicide
Down on Heartbreak Strip
Heartbreak Boulevard
T-t-t-take you for a ride, mess you up inside
Heartbreak Boulevard
Comin’ on so slow, never let you go
Heartbreak Boulevard
Take you for a ride, mess you up inside
Heartbreak Boulevard
On the wild side, Love’s like suicide
Down on Heartbreak Strip

I walk the streets alone at night
A shadow in the city light
I didn’t know that love could hurt
How little broken hearts are worth
All that we had, gone forever
Things that we said, it will never be
Living without you, don’t bother me
If there’s a tear in my eye
It’s not for you
Don’t flatter yourself
If there’s a tear in my eye
It’s not for you
We crossed our hearts and hoped to die
We swore that we would never lie
But love just slipped away somehow
Baby, it’s all over now
All that we had, gone forever
Things that we said, it will never be
Living without you, don’t bother me
If there’s a tear in my eye
It’s not for you
Don’t flatter yourself
If there’s a tear in my eye
It’s not for you
You seemed so innocent
You had me blinded
What good is all your beauty
There’s nothing behind it
If there’s a tear in my eye
It’s not for you
Don’t flatter yourself
If there’s a tear in my eye
It’s not for you
Lock the door and cut the lights
I won’t be coming home tonight
