Today’s Jot prompt word is companionship. Thanks Di!

I have had a bit of a time trying to think of something for this prompt.
So…I decided to try a poem in a form I haven’t done in a long time.
It’s called a Sevenling, and is supposed to be 7 lines long, and include elements of three things, sort of a list? It can rhyme or not, even though I try to, and try to make it make some kind of sense.
Anyway…here’s my not great attempt:
***
Companionship
It’s said that three is a lucky number
A one, a two, and three
A pyramid is of three sides, the boulders they did wrangle
In fact it was an elaborate burial triangle
A trio means three’s company, a foursome won’t comply
The best companionship to have is
Me, myself, and I
***
And…another try at this
***
Companionship is not a boat, in the nautical sense of the word
It has no water, and no sail, no squawking parrot bird
Companionship consists of us, friends you cannot buy
But if you find that you’re alone
There’s no need to sigh
The best companionship I’ve found
Is me, myself, and I
***
Not all that good, huh? Now, I wanted to check out pyramids to see if they really do have 3 sides, and nope, they don’t. There are different shapes, and the base it is sitting on is considered a side, too. So, the ones that look like triangles, are 4 sided.
The more I fall down the rabbit hole, the more I learn. And, this has taken far longer than I intended for a simple jot!
