Square in December – Time – Day 22

Square in December – Time – Day 22

Different times………

For the month of December, Becky has prompted us with the word ‘time’. To see more entries and join in the fun, just click the above link. Thanks so much, Becky!

Another regular watch of mine I like, because it is black & gold.

Also, one of my favorite books, “The Time Machine”, by H. G. Wells. I loved the book and the original movie, and it’s part of why I named my blog ‘teleportingweena’. This copy of the book is pretty old and yellowed, because I got it at a book sale a long time ago. It used to be a library book. The check-out card says it was first checked out in 1986, and the last time was 1996.

“The Times They Are a Changin'”, by Bob Dylan, was released in 1964/1965. It was written by Bob Dylan, and is on the Columbia label.

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

  1. Weena!!! Now it all makes sense! 😉 Thanks for clearing that up. 🙂

I remember books from my library and school library looking like that. I was a sci-fi buff (and a golfer btw) and read Wells, Jules Verne, Clarke, Asimov, Heinlein and Bradbury and all the others as often as i could. I’ve seen the Rod Taylor and Guy Pearce versions of The Time Machine as well.

Times definitely have changed since my school days – a lot of what was fiction is now fact and somethings are now facts that even fiction could not have come up with! 😉

    • Yes! Weena was the girl in the book about time travel. Weena is also the name of our tabby cat that we had for many years. Sadly, she’s crossed the rainbow bridge now, or maybe just teleported herself to the other realm.
Love hearing that you get to play golf sometimes. My mister is a golfer, too.
I do really enjoy science fiction, and have read a lot by the authors you mentioned. You never know, but could be some inventors or scientists had read a book about some fantastic future, and actually worked to make it happen. Interesting for sure.
