Flower of the Day – Yard Roses
***
Not real clear, but I like these roses because they were growing many years ago at my childhood home. My mom had a green thumb, and had lots of kinds of flowers and plants growing indoors and outside.

When I was young we had lots of yard roses. It was my job to keeps up the lawn and the flower beds. They are lots of scratches involved too.
Have a fabulous day, Barbara. ♥
It’s so nice to see a yard with flowers growing. I’ve planted a few things over the years, but they never last long. No green thumb for me.
Hope your day is a good one! ❤
Lovely roses!
Thanks so much! 🙂
So glad to hear of your mom’s ‘indoor’ plants. At this very moment I am sitting in an indoor forest😊
Pat
Thanks, Pat!
My mom & mother-in-law both had green thumbs and could get anything to grow. I never have such luck with plants, but wish I could.
Sounds so nice to have an indoor forest there. 🙂
Yes, indeed. My gardenia bloomed in feb last year. It was wild, nobody believed me till they walked it and the scent of gardenia hit them, lol!
Mmmm gardenias! How wonderful that it was blooming for you! 🙂
Those are BEAUTIFUL! She really did have a green thumb and a lovely eye for the garden, cause I can see her efforts 🙂
Thank you!
She was always out there planting and tending to the flowers and vegetables she grew.
Funny story – she once paid my soon to be husband to dig up and turn over the soil in the big garden for her. This was when no one had a roto tiller to use, just a shovel. 🙂
Oh bless. I’ve done that a few times myself, which is why we now have a tiller 🙂
Makes it lots easier, not that I’ve used a tiller, but the Mr. has one. I’ve tried a shovel, and I just couldn’t do much with that.
