Books I’ve Read Lately

***

Just thought I’d show the covers of some books I’ve read lately. They were all really good, in my opinion.I got them at the library book sale last month. My daughter and I go every year, and find lots of good books at bargain prices.

These are maybe classified as YA young adult, or teen? I don’t know, but I do like reading these kind of novels. All three of these have sequels to them, so I need to find them pretty soon.

I do like reading a series, if the books are good. I never know if the next ones in line are going to be as good as the first one, but I always hope so.

I hadn’t heard of these authors before, but will read more of their books, if possible.

Do you like reading a series by the same author?

  2. I like reading a series where the books are stand-alone but still connected to the series as a whole. I think this is why I have found Discworld so much fun because you can focus on your favourite books and protagonists in the series and not have to have read the books in sequence, yet you can still see nods, winks and references to the other characters and stories that they inhabit. I’m certainly intrigued by these books and although I have a plenty of other ones in my reading pile, I think they would make good additions to my reading list 🙂

    • Thanks for your thoughts on book series!
Some I’ve found are really good for the first few, but then the more of them there are, I get bored with them. I don’t know what a just right amount of a continuing story there is. Also, I like to have several already printed, so I don’t have to wait a long time for the next one. 🙂
