Song Lyric Sunday Theme for 8/12/18

Helen has given us the prompt of ‘drive/driving’ for today’s SLS. Thanks, Helen!

There are so many songs in this category it was hard to choose one. However, I did settle on this one, even if it doesn’t mention those driving words. It is all about driving around and enjoying life on the road. If you hear the call of wanderlust, adventures are always just around the corner, waiting for you to find them.

“Me and You and a Dog Named Boo”, by Lobo, was released in 1971, as a single from his album, “Introducing Lobo”. It is on the Big Tree label, and was written by Roland Kent LaVoie, which is his real name. Lobo is his stage name.

    • Thanks, John! I always like it, and another of his songs, but you didn’t hear much else back then. Sometimes a song will click with us, sometimes not. I’m glad there are so many music styles to choose from, though. 🙂
