Flower of the Day – Honeysuckle

Flower of the Day – Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle flowers are one of my favorites, because it smells so good. This photo was taken when my honeysuckle vine was doing great, with tons of blooms. This year it’s barely there, as it has been so hot and we are in such a drought in this area.

    • There’s just something about it that is sweet but not overpowering. I’ve had some perfumes with that scent, and I like those, too. 🙂
      Thanks, Sandee! ❤

    • Thanks, Suzette!
The flowers must taste sweet to the bees! I never tried them, but I did try sucking on petunia pieces, and they were sweet.
      Hugs for you, too! ❤

      • Oh yest the do…and humming birds too…
Oh gurl you have toooo…yummy just like honey …
I have never tried a petunia but I will ask dad if we have any in the yard just in case…he has a very big green thumb I love his yard…

      • It’s super he has a green thumb. I don’t at all. My honeysuckle vine is barely there any more, what with the hot weather and drought. If it ever makes blooms again, I’ll have to remember to try to see if it tastes sweet! 🙂
