Flower of the Day – Christmas in July

Flower of the Day – Christmas in July

Do you have an extra Christmas celebration…in July?

I’ve always heard of it, but we never did anything for it, though lots of people around the world do.

Maybe families couldn’t get together in December, so have a fun party in July. Maybe we are wishing for some cooler weather, like we had in the winter months. Anyway, sounds fun!

So, here’s a pretty poinsettia for you in the month of July!

    • Yep – why not have some fun.
One time we had some snow in winter, and we made snowballs and kept them frozen in the freezer. We brought them out again in July! That was fun, too. 🙂

  1. In the world of retail, Christmas in July is not all that unusual! (They seriously played Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer on the store radio Saturday morning!)

Seriously, though, I was at a special Christmas in July themed ballgame a few years ago, and hearing Christmas songs get played between innings on a hot July day just didn’t quite sound right…

    • Hah! That’s funny. I don’t think I’ve heard Christmas songs in the summer at a business before. I guess if they were running a Christmas in July sale it would be appropriate, though. 🙂
