Time for a new set of questions from Cee, and answers from me! Join in this weekly fun…click the above link to find out how.

***

The questions:

If you were to pack a basket for picnic lunch, what would be in your basket?

On a vacation what you would require in any place that you sleep?

If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top three items on your wish list?

***

My answers:

Sheesh! I haven’t been on a picnic since I was a kid, I don’t think. I’m not a fan of being outdoors much, especially in this heat we have, with the sand blowing. Never mind the bugs, and piles of goose poop. Oh, don’t want to get sunburned either.

Anyway enough of the negatives…if I were to go on a picnic, in the ideal location, and temperatures…what would I pack in a basket?

Iced down soft drinks and lemonade.

Sandwiches? Pimento Cheese or ham & cheese? Chips? Pork ‘n beans?

Plastic eating utensils, plates, cups, and tablecloth? Lots of sanitizing wipes!

On a vacation I’d require pillows, lots of them, and blankets. I can’t sleep without a bunch of each.

A nice place to stay – nothing like roughing it or camping for me.

Snack foods, and bottled water.

Air conditioner, bathroom…

If we were to move, it would be a house, not an apartment. Full maintenance service for indoors & out, such as cleaning, cooking, and yard work. An enclosed courtyard with lots of plants, and where all kinds of little animals can run around in, with no danger. Designated rooms for different things, like crafts & hobbies, and a library.

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

  1. 1. Fried chicken and potato salad. Reminds me of many picnics back in the day.
    2. Clean, clean and clean. Most everything else is okay, but it has to be clean.
    3. No apartment for me either. A smaller house would be nice. Ours is too big for us anymore. Good location and close to shopping, hospitals and the like.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

    • Good answers, Sandee! We used to go on picnics when I was a kid, but then I didn’t have to do anything but have fun playing games with my cousins. We ate whatever the grown ups fixed. Yes definitely to the clean places to stay! A good location for housing would be tops, too. Not right in the city, but close to conveniences, for sure. Hope your weekend has been fun! 🙂

    • Thanks, Georgie! I like reading all the different answers to these things, too. So fun to see all kinds of answers, and usually make me wonder why I didn’t think of whatever it was they said. Someone mentioned a big wrap-around porch… I’d love to have one of those! Hope your weekend has been lovely! 🙂

    • Hope you’ve had time to find something good to eat! Fried chicken sounds good. Can’t remember if my mom ever packed that for a picnic. I do remember the sliced, fresh garden tomatoes, though. 🙂

    • Thanks, Suzanne! Way out in the boonies, huh? I’d like that, but still close enough without a lot of driving to get to the store or the doctor’s. We had a chance to do that once, but it was way too far out for us. 🙂

      • You’re welcome, Barbara. Yep, way out in the boonies. I was raised in a rural area and having neighbors so close as we do now is just way too much for me. Driving 30+ miles is something we have to do anyway to go to David’s appointments. That isn’t so bad. We couldn’t live like 3 hours away from the hospital, but living that far from neighbors sounds great to me. 🙂 Have a blessed day.

      • 🙂 I don’t like how houses are right next to each other, either, but that’s all I’ve ever known. I’d like a bit more space, too.
