1, 2, 3, 4 – Song Lyric Sunday – Numbers
Song Lyric Sunday Theme for 3/4/18
***
Hey, y’all! Happy Sunday!
It’s time for another SLS, and Helen has asked us for songs with numbers. Thanks, Helen!
Helen mentioned how people tend to see numbers in a funny way. I know I’ve seen the numbers on the clock read 1:11, or 11:11, and usually take note of it. Sometimes I see the numbers in order, as 12:34, and this morning I woke up at 5:55.
Is there some special meaning to seeing numbers like this? I don’t know if there is any significance to it, but it’s fun to think there is, and maybe we’re supposed to make a wish!

This song I chose, I’ve heard on the radio a few times, and always liked it. I had no idea who sang it, or the title, but knew it had numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 in it. So, I just typed in 1 2 3 4 song, and yay! it was the right one! ๐
I think it is just a simple and sweet song, don’t you!

“1, 2, 3, 4”, by the Plain White T’s, was released in 2008, from their album, “Big Bad World”. It was written by Tom Higgensen, and is on the Hollywood label.

Reblogged this on J-Dubs Grin and Bear It and commented:
We need to be more like Barbara when we pick songs. Such a happy upbeat tune. Just what I needed today.
Thanks so much for the reblog! Much appreciated! ๐
Awww, I really like this song. I liked the Plain White T’s when they were big, but I never really followed their music except when I heard them on the radio. Thanks for the reminder of this particular song. โค
Thanks, Helen! I’m glad I found this one I was thinking about. Great prompt for today! ๐
Thank you!!
Iโve never heard this before either. Definitely a cool song.
Thanks, Lynn! Glad you enjoyed hearing it for the first time. ๐
New to me, but very nice!
Thanks, Felicia! Glad you enjoyed this new to you song, too! ๐
I have always liked this song… and it more than makes up for their more popular “Hey There Delilah,” which I can’t stand!
Thanks! I like the Delilah song okay, but my favorite from this group is still “Rhythm of Love”. ๐
I love this song! It’s the first time I’ve heard it. I like the happy bouncing beat and the romantic lyrics.
Thanks so much, Kayla! Glad you enjoyed this new to you song! I agree, it is a happy and romantic song. ๐
