Can you believe it’s February already?
This means it’s time for another visit to the Escapist Coloring Club, hosted by Linda G. Hill!
If you enjoy coloring, this club is where we can show off what we’ve been doing during the month.

So, I color pages in my books pretty much every evening, and have done a lot of pages. I just need to pick one to show you.
First, though, is the page I’d started last time, and is now finished. I have a bit a trouble finding the same color marker that I used the time before. You can tell on some of these where I didn’t quite pick the right one.
Next is one I’ve started, but it’s not quite finished yet, and the book.
And this one, I finished, using both markers and colored pencils. I like the one lady’s hair that I colored pink and blue and the other is orange and red. I know these pages say they are fashions from the 1950s, but I wanted her to have a more funky look, as I see lots of people these days that have all different colors in their hair. I think I didn’t do the outlining their faces very good. I was probably getting tired, as it is late in the evening when I’m doing these. Oh well… it’s fun, anyway. 🙂

I have a mandala colouring calendar that i try to color each month. Love the pictures in it………wish i could do more, but it hurts. I have four months now 3/4 done. sigh
I’ll bet the part you’ve done so far is really pretty. Have you tried those coloring apps? Maybe that would be less hurtful for your hands. Linda says they will be perfectly fine to use on here. 🙂
Is it OK if I color my pictures with an apps help, I have a bad thumb that makes it difficult to do it the old fashioned way.
As long as colouring them that way relaxes you, why not? It’s all about the escape. 🙂
It does! Thank you. 🙂
It will be just fine to use your app for coloring, as you can see Linda’s comment below. Yay! I’ve seen some of your coloring, and they are beautiful! 🙂
Thank you, Barb! This is just the thing I need right now, I need a break from writing about my personal life right now. 🙂
Wonderful, Mer! I’ll look forward to seeing more of your coloring pages! 🙂
I love the colours you chose for the sixties one. Sooo very sixties! 😀 And the dots in the mandala picture are a great touch.
Thanks so much for joining in, Barbara! ❤
Thanks, Linda! Glad you like these. I do like putting dots in a lot of my pages, for some reason. It just sort of fills in some white spaces.
I love the guitar one. Nice coloring. I have that problem too with not picking the same color if I stop before I’m finished. I started leaving those colors out with the book to help me with that.
Thanks, Janet! That is a great idea, to leave out the markers I’ve started with. I hadn’t even thought of doing that, and now I’ll do it for sure! 🙂
Wow. Beautiful. I’ve been so tempted to color, but I’m afraid I won’t be able to stop!
Thanks, Diana!! I know what you mean. The time goes by while I’m absorbed in the coloring. I keep saying just a little more…haha! I’ve been setting aside 45 minutes to an hour in the evening, and now it’s a habit. Also, collecting more and more of those coloring books! It’s hard to stop. 🙂
I imagine I could do it while the husband flicks through tv channels. 🙂
Sure, that’s a great time to color. I know my husband has that remote practically glued to his hand, flipping and flipping! Coloring gives my eyes a rest from staring at this computer screen so long, too.
That top one is just stunning! Great choices!
Thanks, Joey! 🙂
I love these. I want to join the action. I have started coloring in the evenings when I watch TV; it keeps me from snacking on things I don’t need.
Thanks, Oneta! Everyone is welcome to join in Linda’s club! I’m glad they came out with all these coloring books for the grown folks. It is fun! 🙂
Lovely, sorry Running late as usual!
Thanks! 🙂

I really enjoyed them all. I like the add ons and creative colors used.
Thank you so much, Jennifer! 🙂
I would absolutely LOVE to get the information on that women’s coloring book from the 50’s! If you can send the name and information or even just a few of the pages for a project I am doing, I will certainly return the favor by offering to you something in exchange 🙂
Thanks for your visit here. About the coloring book…It’s called, “Fabulous Fashions of the 1950s”. On the inside page it says it was copyright 2016 by Ming-Ju Sun, and published by Dover Publications, Inc. I found the coloring book at the craft store “Hobby Lobby”. Here is the website to find more coloring books with Creative Haven … it’s http://www.doverpublications.com/CreativeHaven … Hope this helps. 🙂
Thanks so so much!!! I will hopefully be able to download a copy! Really appreciate it! Should connect on my website http://www.lizash.com – if you let me know there that you gave me the book info – I will have something sent!
You’re welcome! I’m just happy to have helped out in a small way. Best of luck on your project. 🙂
Ahh so I’m trying to get the book and it says that the link is bad??
Hi again! Sorry the link didn’t work for you. I’m not sure why, as I just clicked on it and it was fine. It’s the Creative Haven site, and shows all kinds of coloring books. I’m not sure if they still have that exact one we were talking about, but they do have a great variety. Hope you can find something you can use. 🙂
