Invasion # 3 – Baby Frogs

I’d forgotten I’d never posted my 3rd invasion story, so here it is! šŸ™‚

One summer the girls were taking baton twirling lessons at the city’s Garden & Arts Center here in town. We got there, and all over the grass and sidewalks there were these tiny hopping things. There must have been millions of them. At first we thought they were bugs or something, but looking closer we saw that they were teeny tiny little frogs!

When we left, after the lessons at the center, we found a paper cup in the car, and scooped up a bunch of the little frogs to take home. They were let go in Grand-ma’s garden out back, and I guess the frogs liked it there, because they grew up into big frogs. We’d see them out there sometimes, just as happy as could be. šŸ™‚

I don’t know if you’d call it an actual invasion, but I’d never seen so many frogs at one time before.

  1. Love! We had tons of baby toads in Georgia. Moo wanted to ‘keep’ them like pets, but she was too afraid to touch them. We all caught them for her. I wonder if she’s still squirmy about it…
