We’re supposed to write this as a stream of consciousness type of, well…writing. That means to type whatever comes into your mind, just as it comes, with no planning of what you’re going to say. You can correct misspellings, but basically, that’s it. The problem is, trying to think of something that has to do with the prompt word. Today’s is ‘motive’.

The only thing I can think of…well, there are 2 things.

Motive rhymes with Votive. That’s votive, as in candles? Votive candles are little ones, I think. I have a lot of candles, votive, and other kinds, bigger ones. I like them, but almost never light them. I would probably forget to blow them out if we went somewhere, and I wouldn’t want something to catch fire.

The other thing I thought about is the word, motivate. The mister is always saying that.”Let’s motivate!” This is to say, let’s get a move on, get in the car, let’s go. Him saying that never actually made any of us motivate any faster, though. In fact, the more we are urged to hurry up, the slower it makes us, because it interrupts what we’re doing.

Motive, Votive, Motivate. I thought of that song by INXS, called “Mediate”. That is the one where they hold up all the different rhyming words to the lyrics. I watched it, and not one of those words were motive, or motivate. Almost all their sign words had the ending rhyme as ‘…ate’, but not motivate. Oh, well.

Guess I’d better motivate on with the day. Have a good one, y’all. 🙂
