[Bridge]
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in
[Verse 1]
Tied to a wheel, our fingers got to feel
Bleeding through a tourniquet smile
I spin on a whim, I slide to the right
I felt you like electric light
For our love, for our fear
For our rise against the years and years and years
[Chorus]
Got a machinehead, it’s better than the rest
Green to red, machinehead
Got a machinehead, it’s better than the rest
Green to red
I walk from my machine
I walk from my machine
[Bridge]
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in
Deaf, dumb, dirty
Starting to deserve this
Leaning on my conscience wall
Blood is like wine, unconscious all the time
If I had it all again I’d change it all[Chorus]
Got a machinehead, it’s better than the rest
Green to red, machinehead
Got a machinehead, it’s better than the rest
Green to redI walk from my machine
I walk from my machine[Bridge]
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in, breathe in, breathe in[Outro]
Got a machinehead, it’s better than the rest
Green to red, machinehead
Got a machinehead, it’s better than the rest
Green to red
Better than the rest, better than the rest
Machinehead
I walk from my machine
I walk from my machine

Love that song! I’ll add one if you don’t mind: Imagine Dragons – Radioactive
It’s a great song, isn’t it! … I don’t mind at all that you gave another suggestion for the theme. I didn’t think I’d ever heard anything by Imagine Dragons, but I found it and listened, and I have heard this one before. I like it a lot! … If you’d like to join in the Song Lyric Challenge on Sundays , just go to the link. Helen has the details there. The more the merrier! 🙂 It’s fun!
Thanks, I will check it out!
Wonderful! 🙂
I had a co-worker way back in the early nineties who loved this band. I so wasn’t into it at the time, but I really liked this song. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks, Helen! I like a lot of their songs, and used to listen to them a lot. This was the first one I thought of for the theme this week, but I actually didn’t know that this was the title. I thought it was breathe in/breathe out! 🙂
That’s pretty funny, but regardless, it fits the theme perfectly. 😊
Thanks! I look forward to seeing what theme you will have every week! 🙂
This one does get me pumped up. Good choice.
Thanks, Kerry! 🙂
I was going to say, I don’t usually listen to music in this genre, but with the lyrics there, it did sort of grow on me.Then, not being sure what genre they are, I looked them up and according to Wikipedia, they are “post-grunge.” I’ve always kinda liked soft-grunge if there is such a thing.
Soft grunge 🙂 I don’t know either, but it does sound softer than hard or metal rock! Wasn’t Pearl Jam, and Nirvana playing what is called grunge? Funny word, grunge. Anyway, I liked quite a bit of that genre, but mostly I like the southern rock bands, and a lot of the hard rock, and metal groups songs. Well, I like a lot of kinds, even some country now and again. I never knew the lyrics to Machinehead, really, and didn’t even know that was the title, but I always liked hearing the song. 🙂
🙂 Yes, definitely Nirvana. Something different. Funny how things get labeled!
I know! And then you have the cross over songs, that are popular in more than one catagory! 🙂
