Happy Birthday to everyone having a birthday this month! My husband and grand-daughter both have birthdays in September, too.

Mine’s not until November. I was born on a holiday, which was Thanksgiving, the actual day.Β  Now, ever so many years, it falls on the Thanksgiving holiday again. When I was a kid, I got presents for Thanksgiving, then again for Christmas. πŸ™‚

Anyone else born on a holiday?

Mostly, my birthday days have been good ones. I don’t really like counting them any more, though. haha … The one time it wasn’t good was when I had to go in for emergency surgery…on my birthday! Not fun at all, that Thanksgiving day. And, we were in charge of bringing the Thanksgiving turkey to the family get together. We had it all ready and thawed out, and ready to cook, then instead, I was in the hospital. The family didn’t get their turkey that year.

Hey, I just looked ahead on my calendar, and guess what? My birthday falls on the actual Thanksgiving day this year! πŸ™‚

Thanks for visiting! Peace }i{

  2. I don’t know, but it seems like you shouldn’t have to cook on your birthday. Unless of course you want to! And you get presents. πŸ™‚ I hope you enjoy this one coming up. My birthday is 12/12. In the middle of the big holiday season. Plus we got married on 12/1. I’m usually happy for things to settle down a little after January 1.

    • I didn’t mind cooking the turkey. Actually, my husband likes to cook, and does most of it around here even now. I like making desserts. πŸ™‚ … Oh, you have an interesting birthday… 12/12. My grandson’s is on 10/10. It’s a busy season for us too, around the holidays and birthdays. Seems they all come right after another. Our wedding anniversary is 12/23, and my youngest daughter’s birthday is right after Christmas on Jan. 6! πŸ™‚ After all that, it’s good to settle down for awhile!

      • Tis the season! Glad your husband likes to cook. Mine, too. Funny thing is, he likes to measure everything and be consistent with recipes. I like to experiment. πŸ™‚ Like mixing oatmeal with mashed bananas, adding peanut butter, and maybe nuts or cinnamon, and rolling into balls for a healthy snack/dessert.

      • Your snack sounds really good! I think we get in a rut, fixing the same meals so many times, we’re tired of them all. I would say I’d mostly follow a recipe, except for what I’ve done so many times I don’t need one. Anything new, I look at the measurements. He doesn’t, though,and will experiment on all kinds of food, some turning out good, some not so much. Oh well, I don’t complain, since he likes cooking. I just do the dishes, which I like to do. πŸ™‚

  3. My mother is Monday, as is Sassy’s best friend, then our friend Vee, then my MIL, and that’s all in the inner circle πŸ™‚ Mine is the Sunday after Thanksgiving this year.

    • Seems lots of September birthdays for you, and your family & friends. It’s birthdays and holidays one after another this time of year. Your birthday sometimes comes on actual Thanksgiving, doesn’t it? Guess we’re Sagittarius Sisters! Have you ever found an actual birthday twin…same day and year? I have a lady here in town with the same day, but not year. We know each other by FaceBook. πŸ™‚

      • That’s pretty cool! πŸ™‚ There used to be some women’s magazines I’d read, and they’d feature a section of finding your birthday twin. I never saw mine on there, though.
