Tingle My Tongue

Standard

“Tingle My Tongue”

Ooh-wee

Bliss-ter-ing me

With your hot, hot kisses

Roasting fire sparks and hisses

Tickle my nose with scorched delight

Pepper my brow with sweat, tonight

A slow burning heat just can’t be beat

Hot shivers of chili, a passionate treat

Tastes of bliss

  1. Excellent and creative use of the word bliss-tering! I am a wimp when it comes to hot foods….I love the addition of certain herbs and spices but….not all like it hot although, some like it hot!

    • Thanks, Toni! I like the hot kind, but not too hot. Medium hot is best for me. I’ve had some salsa, though, that was way too fiery, and my mouth would not stop burning!

      • I am mild all the way. I have a very finely tuned palate and the heat will destroy that for several days. I like lots of flavor but not heat. A friend will go to the Chinese restaurant and order sechuan something and tell them to make it extra extra extra hot….wow.

      • Extra, extra, extra hot! That would seriously hurt! I like a little tingle, but sure don’t want to be in extreme pain just for eating some food! To ease the burn, drink some milk, or eat some bread. That will help. πŸ™‚

    • Thanks, Margaret! Let’s just stick to the mild to barely medium heat. There’s really no need to hurt yourself while eating. I just like the flavor, mostly! πŸ™‚
