I was just thinking the other day about some cities we’ve been to. Quite a few have been cities of the same name, in different places. Here’s some I’ve visited. Have you been to any double cities?

  • Paris, France and Paris, Texas (also the Paris Hotel, in Las Vegas)
  • Las Vegas, Nevada and Las Vegas, New Mexico
  • Texarkana, Texas, and Texarkana, Arkansas
  • Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas

Thanks for visiting! Peace }i{

  1. I have never been outside of Canada. We do have small town nearby called Egypt. Oh, would I love to visit the real thing one day. My husband said they should build a small pyramid in that little town somewhere. I bet it would be great for tourism.

    • That would be wonderful to visit Egypt! I’d love to see the pyramids! Maybe someday y’all’s town of Egypt will one day have a replica, and I agree, it would be good for tourism. The Paris TX here has built a smaller (of course) version of the Eiffel Tower there. 🙂 Funny, I’ve seen three of them… two replicas and the real thing! I guess I’m lucky that I got to travel, as my husband was in the military, and we moved around a lot.

  2. Alexandria, Va and Alexandria, Egypt…Memphis Tn/Egypt….Springfield, Va/Mo………Texarkana (of course)……..Orlando, Fl and Orlando, Fl…….Fredericksburg, Va/Tx
    can’t think of any more….I know there are some. lol

    • Those are some wonderful cities to have visited! I’ve always been interested in Egypt, because of the pyramids and the mummies! My husband has been to Cairo on a stop over. I’ve been through Springfield, MO. Seems there are more double ones I’ve been to, but can’t remember them right now. I wonder if anyone ever makes a point to travel to same name cities? That would be fun. 🙂

  3. O”Fallon, IL and O’Fallon MO are both suburbs of St. Louis (And yes, I’ve been to both!)

    Others I can add where I’ve been to both:

    Madison, IL and WI
    Springfield, IL and MO
    Atlanta, IL and GA

    probably a lot more I can’t think of…

    • It’s interesting to see how many cities have the same name. You’ve been to some good ones. I’ve been to St. Louis a couple of times. It’s fun to look at maps, and see all the odd named towns and cities, too. Makes you wonder why they were named that. 🙂
