CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN – DAY # 14 – MISTLETOE megans-christmas-countdown

I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone that had this. I know the tradition is to hang mistletoe up in your house at Christmas time. Then, people who are caught standing under it, must kiss.

I do know that mistletoe is a parasite plant. It stays green during the winter months, and lives on trees, sucking out the nutrients from it’s host. Sounds creepy, to me. I always thought it was poisonous, too. I’d say that is pretty destructive, and wouldn’t want any in my trees, or in my house.

However, here is a more through explanation of the mistletoe tradition, and the mistletoe plant. 🙂

Thanks for visiting! Peace }i{
