Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Fountains

The first photo, with the pink water, is a beautiful fountain in Kansas City, Missouri. It is the J. C. Nichols Memorial Fountain. We were there that year in October, and they’d dyed the water pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The last fountain photo I took today as we were driving past. There are actually 3 there in the playa lake, and it is in Henry Huneke Park, where the Veteran’s War Memorial wall, and bricks are located. This park also has a statue of Willie McCool, one of the astronauts who lost his life in the Columbia Space Shuttle disaster, on February 1, 2003. He’d gone to high school here.
