Green is the place I want to be

Way up high in a shady tree

To sit and sway the day away

To watch the squirrels at fanciful play

I’d feed the birdies little bits of bread

Rejoicing at nature swirling ’round my head

    • Thank you, Grace! I enjoyed thinking of green trees, as we don’t have enough around here. I could sway with the wind up high in a tree, though! 🙂

    • Hi, Victoria! Your memory is a good one! We had some really tall elm trees when I was a kid. We’d take an apple, and a book, and sit up in the branches for the longest time in the summer.:) Wonderful how scents can take you right back there. 🙂

    • Thanks, Linda! I’m not afraid of heights, so it was always fun to climb up in a tree when I was a kid. You really can feel those branches swaying! 🙂
