Do you always tell the truth

Or maybe a little white lie

Would you confess your sins on your death bed

Or would you keep them ’til you die

Do you really believe what you’re saying

Or let your untruths fly

Would you always keep on praying

Or finally break down and cry

Truth is stranger than fiction

But only you know which is which

Your perception is only your conscience

Nothing flows without a hitch

Your inner voice will be your guide

If you’re mindful of being truthful,

Then there’s surely nothing to hide

Fabrications will always show through your eyes

It pays to be aware of your actions

Be truthful, be kind, and be wise

  1. Oh! This has such a beautiful and rhythmic flow 😀 especially love these lines:

Fabrications will always show through your eyes
It pays to be aware of your actions
Be truthful, be kind, and be wise

No doubt a person’s eyes always gives them away. Beautifully penned!
Thank you so much for participating 😀
