JUST JOT IT JANUARY # 30 and SOCS untitleduntitled

Today for JJIJ the prompt word is to use ‘an’ as a word, or a word that has ‘an’ in it, and make your post with that. I can also use this post for the SOCS post (Stream of Consciousness Saturday).

AND

And, here it is late afternoon,

And, I have been trying to think of something to write, using

An…and, have come to the conclusion that I haven’t thought of ANything.

ANyway…here’s some words that start with the letters ‘an’…

Anxiety – I have it

Antiques – I like them

Animated – Sometimes

Annoying – Probably

Angel – Nope, not me

Angry – Hardly ever

Animals – Love them all

Any-hoo – That’s all I’ve got šŸ˜‰

Oh, one more thing… I am in ANguish…I’m coming up on the end of a 2 book series. I’ve really loved reading these, and wish there would be more. šŸ˜¦ Now, I’ll have to find ANother book to get interested in. What do you do when you come to the end of a book you like so much? Do you jump right into another? (if you’re like me, you have stacks of ‘to be read’ books)

Thanks, Linda, for ANother wonderful prompt! šŸ™‚

Thanks for visiting! Peace }I{

  1. The problem I find with a stack of “to be read” books is choosing which one might live up to the last one. šŸ˜›
Funny post, Barbara. Made me giggle – thanks. šŸ˜€

    • haha glad you got a kick out of this one, Linda! … Yeah, I know all the books I bought I want to read, but finding one that is just as good or better than the last, is sometimes difficult! I usually start looking through them, before I’ve finished the last one. šŸ˜‰

    • haha you make me smile šŸ™‚ … I love doing challenges. I know I’ve seen you on some, but can’t remember… the color your world, this JJIJ, and not sure what else. Great to see another friendly blogger as yourself! šŸ™‚

  2. Great post, Barbara! I have to let a book ruminate for a spell after I finish it, especially if it is a great one.. then I read something of a different genre so not to spoil the last.

    • Ahh, good way to do that, Lori! Most times I have more than one book I’m reading at the same time, usually different kinds. I’m still thinking of whichever good one I just finished, too! If it was part of a series, I just jump right into the next one.

      • sometimes i will have several books going at once too… usually a mystery and science fiction or a science fiction and a horror. I don’t generally read romance unless it is tied into one of the above genres.

      • I really like the horror type of books, and some science fiction. Seems I go in phases of liking a certain genre at a time, and go through a bunch of them, then on to another kind. My favorites are always memoirs or biography, especially if they written with humor. Some fiction stories, to me, are so real I think the characters are real people, and wish I knew them! šŸ™‚ Do you prefer real printed books, or those on e readers? I like a real one you can turn the pages. I do have so many on my kindle though, but keep saying, well, I’ll get to them someday, while I keep adding more!

      • *laughs* you sound so much like me. I bounce around genres too, and I also love memoirs and biographies, though I prefer historicals to humourous. My Kindle *is* full. I still purchase e-books and have them stuffed away in my Kindle Cloud. I do prefer printed books over the e-books though. Like you, I love to feel the pages turning with my own hand. I also love the way books smell… old ones and new ones. If I could, I would have a huge house with wall to wall shelves lined with books. One can dream I suppose.

  3. That has been a dream of mine for years, too! A library room of my own! I sure have enough books to fill the shelves! I love walking into a library, or bookstore and that smell is the first thing you notice. šŸ™‚ I wish I’d have made a list of every book I ever read, from way back when I was a kid.
