Looking inside my mind

Lighthearted thoughts I find

Laughing at what I see

Leaving reality

Labels – not to be bound

Lost…and hope to be found

Losing it, I un-wind…

This is another poem in the Pleiades form. It was fun to do, earlier, so I wanted to do another 🙂

MOONSTRUCK

Standard

I’m trying out this poetry form today. It is called the “Pleiades”, which is a 7 line poem, with 6 syllables on each line. Each line begins with the same letter as the title…which is one word.

I’d like to thank Carol, for sharing her Pleiades  poem on her blog, and giving me the idea to try it. Her blog, WritersDream9, can be found here

MOONSTRUCK

Magical, moonlit night

My love and I most right

Mood music binds us tight

May we both take a bite

Make the most of our plight

Mystery orb of light

Moonstruck at such a sight

UNFINISHED

Quietly, quietly drift the clouds

Far above Earth’s rowdy crowds

THUNDER

Parading stately across the sky

Painting paradise in our eye

CRASHES

Take a moment to gaze above

Fill your senses with peace and love

LIGHTNING

Imagine floating without a care

Our mortal souls are free up there

FLASHES

Beauty does our eyes behold

Orange, pink, and nature’s gold

WIND

Sunrise, sunset, and in between

Starry nights, a moonlit gleam

GNASHES

Dream along, embracing peace

Praying for all war to cease

ANGER

Pure air inhale, life’s true incense

Live and love your truth…intense…

LASHES

DEAR DIARY … NOVMEBER 19 – DECEMBER 7, 1961

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

It’s time for another look back at my Diary from 1961 …when I was 10 to 11 years old…

These entries typed here, just like I wrote them back then, with the exception I’ve only used initials for people’s names, and in ( ) mention how they are related to me. Misspellings are left in, to be corrected at the end. Hope you enjoy reading, as much as I have enjoyed a look back at what I was doing all those years ago! 🙂

SHARE YOUR WORLD – # 48

SHARE YOUR WORLD – # 48sywbanner

Here’s this week’s questions posed by Cee at Share Your World and my answers. There are lots of fun challenges to choose from there!

~

Q1 – Are you a hugger or non-hugger?

I am a hugger. I like giving and receiving hugs. Our family has always been like that. We hug hello, then again when we say good-bye, all around for everyone. Sometimes more than one hug, and even if we just met someone. I’ve never had anyone say they’d rather not. If they did, I wouldn’t, but it’s just a way of being friendly.

Q2 – What’s your favorite topping on pizza?

Besides cheese, I need pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions. I’ll eat the ones with lots of other things on there, except sausage or hamburger…don’t like those, so will pick those parts off.

Q3 – If you were the original designer of one existing corporate logo, which one would you select?

Not sure if this is corporate or not, but I wish I’d have designed the Peace sign. It is simple, recognizable all over the world, and means so much. Looking up who the actual designer was, I found it was in 1958, that a British designer, Gerald Holtom, was asked to design a logo for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). He looked at the semaphore alphabet letters for N and D, and it looked like what we now know as the peace sign.

Q4 – Complete this sentence: Where I can seek my solace is…

Home, my home, with my family, wherever that may be. We’ve lived here and there around the world, and we come and go, but we always come back home, where we can relax, and be ourselves around our loved ones.
