OCTPOWRIMO – POEMS – DAY # 20 – LOVE POEMSIMG_20150928_151453

Today’s OctPoWriMo  prompt says we should write a love poem. It could be traditional, or take any form we prefer, but it was suggested to try two different types.

One was called Loop Poetry… This is pretty much unstructured, except for the lines that rhyme being 2nd and 4th, and the last word of the first line, should be the word that starts the second line, and keep that form for as many stanzas you want.

The second form was to write love letters between two things that maybe don’t really go together, or they have a unique way of being related.

Both these were interesting, and fun do try. Here’s my take on the prompt. First, the loop one, then next will be the letter. Enjoy!

Comes the dawn of a new day, dear…

Dear, come softly, soothing,

Soothing our senses, gently waking,

Waking us to a day of our choosing…

Choosing to shine your love-light divine,

Divine, define, refine our day…

Day of relaxing, rejoicing in musing,

Musing, grooving, day dreaming our time away…

Away from stresses, the new day blesses,

Blesses us with it’s healing love…

Love that’s unending, enduring, and true…

True love rains down from high above.

Dear Keyboard, my love…

Let me rest my fingers lightly upon you.

Let my touch wake you to the joys of my words.

Dear Fingers, my love…

I’d be nothing without you tickling me awake.

I do your bidding in all ways…I adore you.

A rhyme for you dear, come close…can you hear?

Together we create true bliss.

If we ever do part, it would break my heart…

You, true love, I would miss.

So let’s laugh in the good times, and cry when it’s sad…

We’ll brave it together, no matter the weather…

And enjoy all the time we’ve had.

Thanks for visiting! Peace }I{
