POEM # 17

From Oz to Salem, to suburban mayhem,

The witches entertained us all.

The witch of the west, was creepy at best,

And Glinda was belle of the ball.

Samantha twitched her nose,

Whenever she chose, and

Sabrina’s cat talks to her, it is true.

Elphaba was wicked,

Endora was vivid…

They all were an interesting crew.

The Sanderson sisters were funny and camp,

The witches of Eastwick were duped…

They all used their craft, and a bit of their vamp,

But Morticia’s my all favorite champ.

Shows referenced = Bewitched, The Wizard of Oz, The Addams Family, Sabrina the Teenage Witch,  Hocus Pocus, The Witches of Eastwick, and Wicked (broadway play)

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

    • Hi and thanks for visiting here! Thank you for the reblog, also (I think it is the first time!) Yes, I’d never heard of the October Poetry Writing Month either, until a few days before it started. It is turning out to be a lot of fun, and the participants are very supportive. Thanks again for your comments! 🙂

      • Ok So I’m not too late can I still sign up (if I think I have the time) does one have to post something every day or we can do them as we are inspired by the challenge?

  1. but you missed Sandra Bullock & Kim Basinger from Practical magic & The Worst witch & The Craft’s (oh what’s her name.. can’t hink of it now but i think it’s posted in one of my posts) on Zodiacimmortal

    • Oh, that’s right! Practical Magic was a great movie! And I know who you’re talking about in the Craft movie…the dark haired girl (can’t remember her name either) There’s another one “Teen Witch” but can’t remember her name either, but she had a boyfriend named Brad..haha…So many and lots of fun to remember them!

  2. I’m pretty sure you can still sign up for the poetry writing challenge, and you’d be welcomed warmly! They are really friendly and helpful. I did read that you don’t have to do one every single day…just when you want to share one. I think you could go to the home page and find the rules? Hope to see you there! 🙂
